Community update: 27 March 2025

Dear Parents

Earlier this month, we invited you to share any questions you had regarding our transition to becoming a fully co-educational school and bringing all our Junior School children together at Ravelston.

We would now like to invite you to join us for an in-person information event that will be held on Monday 14 April, at The Dean, at the following times:

Session 1: 6:00 – 6:45 pm
Session 2: 7:15 – 8:00 pm

We will be presenting the same information at both sessions, so you can come to whichever suits you best. Please reserve your place by Wednesday 9 April by completing this booking form.

For those unable to attend in person, both sessions will be live-streamed, and we will record one of the sessions for later viewing. You can access the live streams here:

As I mentioned last week, we will also be holding informal events during the summer term. These will provide Senior School parents with the opportunity to meet the Senior Leadership Team and Guidance Leaders for the new Senior School and enable Junior School parents to chat to members of the Junior School Senior Leadership Team and key staff. Dates and further details for these events will follow after the break.

Finally, as we prepare for the Senior Schools to come together and P4-7 to move to Ravelston, it is the natural time to review our school catering provision.

As a first step, we would like to hear the views of families with students in the Senior School in August 2026 on the different catering options being considered for the merged Senior School at Queensferry Road. To help us understand what would work best for your family, please take a few minutes to complete this short survey together with your P6-S4 child/children. The survey will close on Friday 18 April.  We will be surveying Nursery to P5 parents on the Junior School offering following the break.
